Description:
Lexington Barbecue, known locally as Honeymonk’s (a mashup of names of two founders), is famous in North Carolina. They cook over wood. Portions are gracious, so understand that a large tray has more barbecue than a plate. Lexington style pork (and slaw) have tomato in the sauce. Get a Cheerwine, a lightly cherry-flavored cola that does not taste like Cherry Coke. (Cheerwine comes from nearby Salisbury NC.)
