Description:

Anyone from Southwest VA or anyone else in the world who has eaten at Cuz’s Uptown BBQ or just “Cuz’s” (as it is known locally) is quite an experience for many reasons. The restaurant itself is housed in an old barn that sits just off route 460 in Pounding Mill (or as many refer to as, Pounding Thrill). Once you enter the restaurant, nearly every wall is covered with abstract art, decorations, and a collection of items from around the world. My brief description doesn’t do it justice how unique and different Cuz’s is in terms of the food offerings and decor of the place.

From their website: ” Cuz’s Uptown Barbeque has been around for 44 years, serving simple great food to the people of Southwest Virginia and to visitors from all around the world. Our menu spans the globe, from Indonesian satays to Mexican fish tacos to fried squash blossom grown right on our farm. The restaurant is best known for our pit smoked prime rib, giant steaks, fried catfish, crab cakes, and much much more….”.
